Edge Gallery presents an invitational exhibition of PlatteForum’s ArtLab — featuring socially engaged art created by youth. ArtLab interns collectively created a body of work inspired by social justice issues affecting their community, current generations, and future generations.

Spoiled Echoes  delves into the complexities of societal issues that our current and younger generations feel have been unsuccessfully addressed. Here, PlatteForum ArtLab’s interns explore the concept of ‘Spoiled Echoes,’ where the resonance of problems persists despite being acknowledged or intentionally disregarded.

Through diverse mediums ranging from paper collages to digital artworks, these creations serve as a powerful voice, challenging the privilege of detachment and offering a space for dialogue on persisting, often ignored, issues of Housing Justice, Mental Health, Climate Change, and Reproductive rights.

The exhibition invites viewers to analyze the layers of interpretation in these ‘spoiled echoes’. All of which encourage a reflection of how these social issues impact our current and future generations.
