ON EDGE is an annual juried exhibition of contemporary work by artists residing in Colorado and the Rocky Mountain region who are pushing the boundaries of material and concept. EDGE Gallery has exhibited groundbreaking contemporary art for more than 30 years and has been instrumental in presenting important experimental work in our region.
All artists working in any media and residing in the Rocky Mountain region are invited to submit their work. This show is open to contemporary art of any medium, with an emphasis on work that challenges the margins of material, content, artistic process, and technology. The merits and definition of “contemporary” will be defined by the juror. IMPORTANT! Accepted artwork must be hand delivered. Edge Gallery does not have storage or facilities to handle shipped artwork
Edge Gallery’s On Edge 2025 Honorary Juror:
Jane Sook Burke (she/her) is currently the Interim Art Director at RedLine Contemporary Art Center, a nonprofit arts organization in Denver, Colorado that fosters education and engagement between artists and communities to create positive social change. Just prior, she served as the Executive Director of Union Hall, an experimental incubator for emerging artists and curators. From 2022–2024, she was the curator at the Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art, where she organized over a dozen exhibitions featuring predominantly multidisciplinary, local artists. Previously, she was the curatorial fellow for the Textile Art & Fashion department at the Denver Art Museum, and co-produced multiple blockbuster exhibitions in collaboration with international artists, designers, and collectors during her eight-year tenure. Concurrently, she has served as an independent curator, juror, and advisor for galleries, universities, non-profit art organizations, and government agencies, which have collectively contributed to her ongoing research interest in the cross-cultural construction of identity through material and visual culture. She has previously held curatorial and collections positions at the Honolulu Museum of Art, The Contemporary Museum, and The East West Center Gallery in Honolulu, Hawai’i.
